Eva Doesn’t Sleep (2015)

In 1952, Eva Perón, the cherished First Lady of Argentina, passed away from cancer at just thirty-three years old. Upon her death, Juan Perón, in his mourning, enlisted the services of a distinguished embalmer to preserve her remains for public viewing, drawing crowds of Argentines seeking to pay their respects to the iconic "Evita." However, three years later, following the overthrow of his government by a military coup, Perón was forced to flee the country before finalizing arrangements for the transportation of his late wife's body. Seizing control, the military junta resorted to extreme measures by seizing the body, driven by their intense fear of the symbolic influence Eva still held, going as far as outlawing the mere mention of her name.
