Hampstead (2017)

In the serene Hampstead Village of London resides Emily Walters, an American widow leading a tranquil and uneventful life. Her peaceful routine takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Donald Horner, a local recluse who has made a wild yet harmonious home in a rundown hut on the outskirts of the forest for nearly two decades. Discovering that developers are determined to evict Donald from his beloved abode, Emily takes it upon herself to safeguard him and his property. Despite his gruff demeanor and initial reluctance to accept assistance, Emily finds herself inexplicably drawn to Donald, and vice versa. What initially begins as a charitable endeavor soon blossoms into a deep bond, even as the threat of bulldozers looms ever closer.
