Hovering Over the Water (1993)

In the midst of a scorching summer, Laura Rossellini, a widowed woman hailing from Rome, seeks solace along the sun-kissed Algarve coast. Amidst her leisurely sunbathing session, fate intervenes as she stumbles upon a battered stranger named Robert, adrift on a makeshift raft in the gentle waves. Bringing him to her abode, Laura nurses him back to health, unraveling the mysterious tapestry of his past in the process. As their conversations deepen, a spark of mutual fascination ignites between them, only to be abruptly quenched by the unanticipated arrival of a menacing group in search of Robert.
