Last Kind Words (2012)

Upon relocating to the remote countryside farm owned by the enigmatic recluse Waylon, 17-year-old Eli becomes entranced by the vast forests surrounding the area. As Eli's family endeavors to revitalize the barren land, his curiosity about the woods intensifies. A chance encounter with the enigmatic Amanda, who offers him an apple, sets off a chain of events. After making a solemn vow to steer clear of the shadowy woods at her behest, Eli grapples with inner turmoil following a tumultuous altercation with his father. Succumbing to temptation one fateful night, Eli ventures into the forbidden territory only to discover Amanda's lifeless body suspended from a tree.
