Ride Along (2014)

For the past couple of years, Ben, a security guard at the high school, has been striving to prove to James, a highly decorated detective in the APD, that he is more than just a gamer and is deserving of Angela, James' sister. After finally gaining acceptance into the police academy, Ben believes he has earned the respect of the experienced officer and seeks his approval to marry Angela. To assess Ben's capabilities in looking after his sister, James decides on a ride-along that is meant to test the trainee's mettle. However, as their eventful night takes them to confront the city's most infamous criminal, James will discover that Ben's quick wit can be as perilous as the danger they face head-on.
