In the glitzy setting of 1958 Hollywood, Marla Mabrey, a charming small-town beauty queen and devout Baptist untouched by love, steps foot in Los Angeles as part of her commitment to the enigmatic Howard Hughes. At the airport, she encounters Frank Forbes, her driver, a man devoted to his Methodist faith and betrothed to his childhood sweetheart from seventh grade. The immediate spark between them not only tests their religious beliefs but also defies Hughes' strict decree: no romantic entanglements between his staff and contracted actresses.
