The Homesman (2014)

In the unforgiving landscape of the American frontier, three women succumb to madness brought on by the hardships of pioneer life. Mary Bee Cuddy, a strong-willed and devout woman, takes on the challenging task of rescuing them. With a covered wagon as their vessel, she embarks on a treacherous journey to Iowa, accompanied by the reluctant assistance of George Briggs, a rough-and-tumble drifter. As they traverse the harsh Nebraska Territories, encountering both breathtaking vistas and inner turmoil, the group must overcome various perils before reaching the sanctuary offered by a compassionate minister and his wife in the east.
