The Last Days on Mars (2013)

During the final day of their pioneering expedition to Mars, a member of the Tantalus Base crew stumbles upon what he believes to be a groundbreaking find – fossilized proof of ancient bacterial life. Driven by a desire to share in the recognition, he defies instructions to wrap up their mission and embarks on a clandestine journey to gather more samples. What begins as a routine dig takes a perilous turn as the unstable ground gives way, causing him to plummet into a deep chasm. His distraught teammates launch a desperate rescue mission, only to be met with further tragedy as another crew member goes missing. As suspicions mount, it becomes clear that the newfound life-form may pose a threat beyond their wildest imaginations.
