Story :

In the year 1788, King George III of England, in his advancing years, shows troubling signs of mental instability, a condition perplexing to the society of the time. Oscillating between states of bewilderment and fits of intense anger, the ailing monarch is subjected to the futile treatments of his well-meaning physicians. Concurrently, Queen Charlotte and Prime Minister William Pitt the Younger strive to thwart the political adversaries of the king, spearheaded by the Prince of Wales, who seek to seize power in the midst of the royal turmoil.
