The Run of Your Life (2024)

Tibi Ușeriu, Corneliu Buliga, Eva Hochbauer, Toma Coconea, and a group of other ultra runners embark on a challenging journey from the northern regions of the country towards the Danube, following the stunning Via Transilvanica. This recently renovated trail is renowned as Romania's longest and most breathtaking path, spanning 1,400 kilometers and boasting over 30,000 meters of elevation change. Over the course of 24 days, these runners will encounter numerous obstacles and experiences that will test their limits. From the looming presence of bears and protective sheepdogs to navigating through the darkness of night, enduring grueling races under the scorching sun and relentless rain, their bodies pushed to the brink where skin peels and nails shed, shedding layers just like masks. In this epic journey from Putna to Drobeta, each day presents ten reasons to consider giving up, yet these runners understand that nothing is guaranteed in this relentless pursuit. They are all aware that suffering is an unavoidable companion on this arduous quest.
