The Running Man (1987)

In the year 2017, the world's economy has crumbled, leading to the establishment of a tyrannical regime in the United States. Under this oppressive rule, all forms of cultural expression are tightly controlled. To distract and appease the masses, the authorities air a series of brutal game shows featuring condemned felons battling for survival. Among these is the barbaric spectacle known as The Running Man, overseen by the merciless Damon Killian. In this deadly competition, runners must outwit fearsome stalkers and evade certain demise in hopes of earning their freedom through a pardon.
