Toast (2010)

Aspiring young chef Nigel Slater dreams of a future filled with flavorful creations, despite his mother's limited culinary skills that only extend to making toast. Tragedy strikes with his mother's passing, causing tension to brew between Nigel and his father. The arrival of a new stepmother, who captivates his father's affections with her delicious lemon meringue pie, further complicates their strained relationship.
